“Lamunyon Trains to Clean up Crime Scenes”

This was the headline as it appeared in the December 27, 2004 issue of the Hutchinson News. The article detailed specialized training for five Lamunyon employees to legally and safely clean up after a suicide, homicide, or unattended death.

No one likes to talk about the death of a friend or relative. Sadly though, we have received numerous calls over the years after the death of a loved one. We would always decline when asked about the clean up and were at a loss to give a referral. As a result, the clean up was usually attempted by family, church members, or a well-meaning friend. However they were at risk because they lacked safety training in OSHA standards, particularly the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Rule 1910.1030.

‘No one should be victimized twice’, first by losing a loved one and secondly by having to get down on their hands and knees to clean up after an untimely death. It doesn’t have to happen that way anymore. Now our employees are trained both in the legal as well as the psychological side to handle a clean up.

We sincerely hope that you personally never have to face the dilemma of who to call for crime and trauma scene clean up. But just know that you can call on a reliable company properly trained to handle it.
