The DRYAIR Advantage

When the outdoor surroundings become wet we’re not overly concerned because that environment naturally dries. Letting “nature” do the drying when water damage occurs indoors, though, can prove risky and completely unpredictable. Problems often occur when relative humidity levels rise. Subsequently, inadequate air circulation can keep moisture-laden air trapped within the structure, leading to condensation problems and secondary damage.

What is a proven solution to these potential problems? DRYAIR! Lamunyon Cleaning & Restoration now offers this exceptionally effective system that provides “desert” air conditions to the indoor environment. Utilizing a water heater to warm a food-based glycol fluid, the heat transfer fluid is then pumped to remote portable heat exchangers. These exchangers provide fluid-to-air heat transfer to clean, heated, low relative humidity air.

Additionally, the exchangers render proper air circulation to exhaust moisture-laden air from the structure. With the DRYAIR system in place there is no need to set up dehumidifiers. Because hot air holds more moisture, any water trapped in a structure’s materials (carpet, pad, drywall, subfloor) moves from wet air to the dry air conditions produced by the system. As long as moisture is ducted out of the structure from the inside, the dehumidification process is completely replicated without conventional equipment.

DRYAIR can be used for specialty drying applications. For instance, our crews were recently called out to a three-story hotel that had major moisture issues. The construction was being finished, but everything was shut down until the building could be dried. Using only turbo dryers and dehumidifiers, the drying time for the entire structure was estimated at anywhere from two to three week’s time.
However, with the DRYAIR system in place, we were able to dry the hotel to normal moisture levels in less than three days!

As you can see, the DRYAIR system can be a valuable drying option. When a large amount of water has flooded a structure, the DRYAIR system restores normal moisture levels in less time than conventional drying equipment. It has proven to be a safe and effective drying solution for both commercial and residential applications. Please call Lamunyon Cleaning & Restoration for more information.
