Sewage Cleanup
Sewer backups show no concern for floor coverings-- they provide a breeding ground for bacteria. This makes sewage and carpeting a troubling combination. Unfortunately, treating the carpet surface alone will not provide adequate protection. In most cases, the carpet and drywall will have to be disposed of. Even water that looks clean and clear can carry harmful bacteria. If it came out of a sewer it should be presumed to be contaminated.

Step 1: Apply initial disinfectant

Step 2: Extract sewage

Step 3: Remove/dispose of carpet and pad

Step 4: Steam clean floor

Step 5: Apply final disinfectant

Step 6: Set up drying equipment and air cleaner
